I usually enjoy going to chilis, but the last few times I noticed there aren't to many food choices, especially for a vegetarian, and I had a really bad experience on Mothers Day. Pros: Prices are pretty good ( $6-$11 per meal) There is a 2 for 20 deal ( appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert) Usually good service Usually fun Cons: When it gets busy ( around 12:30 and 6:30) is gets really loud, it's something about the way it's built, all you can hear is voices Had really bad experience on Mothers Day Not many food choices ( burgers, sandwiches, salads, fish, quesadillas, soup) I got my mom a gift certificate for Chilis on mothers day and we had a horrible waitress: We ordered our drinks, and they came pretty quick, then she came to order our food. We ordered chips, salsa, and queso(the queso is not very cheesy, its kinda like chili) and asked for a few more minutes. Well, we ended waiting 15. I had a question and couldn't even ask because she never passed our table, and when she did,... Read more

The Chili's where I live loves salt. Everything seems too salty. Maybe it's a way for them to push their drinks, or perhaps they just want everyone to die from an mycardial infarction. Don't know...

I'm always a bit hesitant about devoting any of my energies towards reviewing one of the chain restaurants out there because the review always tends to be pretty much the same. Nothing ever too great (or at all great), nothing too terrible. Bland, average food, for not a tremendous amount of money. Which was pretty much my experience recently at the Chili's on Rt. 17 in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. For those who don't know, Rt. 17 is I daresay one of the ugliest highways in NJ, and certainly one of the ugliest in America. Bleak, barren industrial landscape, littered with the remains of toxic dumps and what's left of the ol' nearby Giants Stadium. So, obviously the restaurant wasn't going to make it on the aesthetic qualities of the surroundings. The restaurant (seems strange calling one of these chain establishments a "restaurant"-- "unit" seems more appropriate) itself was chrome and plastic and cinder block. The service was attentive and professional. The food was bland, relatively tastel... Read more

i use to love chili's but lately the food has been horrible. i don't mind the increases on the menu but the quality of the food is sad. my black beans are hard and dried. my son's corn dog has been served to him frozen twice at different times!!!!! the monterrey chicken is so dried that it's difficult to cut into. i have friends family members and coworkers who have stopped eating at chili's. my kids and i also have just avoided this place as well. sorry chili's but your quality of food has really gone down.

stopped in for a glass of wine at the Town and Country spot in Tampa...was told there was a happy hour but was not told that i would get one glass of wine and a second one when the first was gone, i noticed the woman next to me drinking wine at the bar had a little sign in front of her, none was put in front of me... i checked out the menu and ordered an app. of onion straws to go, not the best to eat with just wine to drink but onion straws are one of my very favorites...while i was finishing my wine i did sample some of the to go onion straws...there were some gobs that were lumps, not even crisp, overall the whole lot was greasy...instead of being crispy they were fast slumping to a congealed pile of cold grease....the worst tho, was they were so salty..i love salty foods and routinely eat anchovies right out of the can but the onion straws were so salty i couldn't tolerate more than one or two bites at a time...sipping beer at home with them to get them down and still wouldn't wan... Chili's is, to put it quite simply, destructively awesome. To call it the best restaurant in existence is only disallowed due to the sublime food of one fast food chain that will remain nameless. However, Chili's is easily second place, defeating all competitors by orders of magnitude so great that.. well you know how an ant can carry 50x its body weight? That's NOTHING compared to how much Chili's beats the everloving piss out of all competitors. Why is this you ask? Well there are only two menu items worth mentioning. And I promise you, I do not trust a single person who would walk into a Chili's and voluntarily order something other than these two items. Firstly, we have chips. But wait, they're bottomless. And.. no way, is that salsa with those chips? How much does a salsa refill cost? Wait for it.. NOTHING! That's right. They truly offer chips and salsa without a bottom. Eat to your heart's content, little ones! Much more importantly we have the Chicken Crispers. ... Read more

I like Chili's a lot. Next to Outback and Buffalo Wild Wings, it's one of my favorite places to eat. I usually get the cajun chicken sandwich. It's pretty bad for you, considering they top it off w/onion straws but it's really good.

Very generic but a good place to get a quick lunch. Great chips and salsa, main reason I go there. Applebees nemesis, and better than Applebees but not by much.

Believe it or not, I, a self-proclaimed foodie, loves Chili's. Not only is it my favorite Chain restaurant, it is one of my favorite restaurant, period. Love their bleu cheese hamburger. Is there any better way to slowly kill yourself from a self-induced heart attack? Love their desserts and cocktail drinks. Love their ribs. Love everything! Yeah it's conventional. Yeah it's greasy. Yeah, it's soooo good!

Authentic southwestern food it is not, but aside from that not a bad place to go. I think they are a better bar than restaurant. The food, at its best, is only slightly above average. You will have a wait at any Chilli's during the evening, caused mainly by their happy hours in the late afternoon - early evening. I have never had bad service at any location I have tried, but have also never been blown away by great service either. Hey, I guess what I am saying is they are just an average place.

Even if you are a vegetarian, Brinker cares about your diet. Chili's did their best when I ordered a bean-veggie burger at dinnertime at San Jose. Service was good, I did time when my food was made, and though hectic, they were able to prepare it at about 10 minutes. They like their customers and the atmosphere was welcoming. That entree I ordered is the cheapest one that can fill you up (other than soup). The prices overall were OK, and it is likely that I may dine there again. Chili's, Romano's Macaroni Grill & On the Boarder are great chains for Brinker for casual dining. I will see if Maggiano's is great for formal.

Every time I've gone to Chili's it's because other people drag me there.  I would never in a million years choose to eat at this place, but there's one in a really convenient spot here.  The food is just gross.  The food is always cold, the meat is either undercooked or overcooked, and the flavors are not good at all.  I seriously don't understand how a place can screw up a cheeseburger.  My mother and sister got food poisoning from Chili's years ago.  The last time I was there a lady a few tables down vomited all over her table and the aisle.  I would be just fine if I never had to step into another Chili's.

At the one in Wilsonville, OR. Good food, nice atmosphere, and usually a long wait to be seated around dinner time. I enjoy the chicken tacos and their chili is pretty good too. Oh, and I've had the fajitas a few times. Good and fresh but not exceptional. No complaints other than the wait time.

Compared to all the other Bar/Grill style restaurants out there, this is probably one of the best. Olive Garden or Johnny Carino's probably being my favorites. You know people like your food when they're willing to wait 20 minutes to an hour just to eat it. On top of that, the atmosphere isn't as annoying as the other chains. Oh and don't get me started on those BIG *** margaritas.

Like any chain restaurant, it can depend on where you go. One common trend I've noticed at Chili's, no matter where I am, is that they don't get in any hurry to serve your food. There can be a considerable wait, but once the food gets there it's very good. All their steaks are good, and I usually get the Monterey Chicken. The price is no higher than anywhere else and the food quality better than most. I like the fact that they more or less combine a  regular restaurant with a sports bar, with tables in the bar area. There's also a wide variety of beers for those that wish to partake. They have thier downsides, like the wait for the food and the wait for the check when you're done. All in all, I like Chili's quite a bit, but don't go as often as I used to.

Chili's isn't a bad place, but it's not great either. I always stick with the Tex Mex items-fajitas, chicken tacos, etc. The main reason for going there is the margaritas--I'm from Texas, living in the N.E. now, and it's by far the only decent margarita I've had up here!

I always go to the Chili's in Fenton Missouri.  I get their boneless buffalo wings for an appetizer.  These wings are different.  They are more like hot wings, because they lack the butter.  This is good because i cannot tolerate regular buffalo wings. I personally like the oldtimer meal.  It is a cheeseburger on wheat buns, very large too, comes with fries.  The best time to come is after 11 AM when they open. We got our food in under 20 minutes, and the staff was friendly.

I just visited Chili's again yesterday, this was my second visit since they've open in our area in Beaverton, OR. This kind of restaurant should be converted as fast food. But of course, they are not fast either. We came in a little bit past 11am and we were the third customer. The food came out after 35 to 40 mins. My husband's food was cold and my classic fajita sizzling hot (which is perfect) but the when I tried the chicken it was a processed chicken. Wow, for 12.99 they can't even serve you a real chicken! You would think that they will be busy around noon because its Friday but surprisingly hardly anybody.

Ok I use to work at Chilis for 3 years, I was a hostess and I HATED the place. People were so rude for no reason at all! One night while on a hour wait this guy comes up to me and makes a comment about our sanitation grade. Well I try to explain to him that it was over something minor and that it was no big deal and the jerk spits in my face! I mean really come on now. So I turn to the girl next to me, take a deep breath, and walk away. I walked over to the manager and told him that I was going home for the night, and walked out. Then the next night some guy called me a lier and told me I was going to go to hell because I misquoted him and told him 30-45mins so I should of had him seated by then. I told him that the time limit I gave him was only a QUOTED time and that it wasnt exact. Im glad I finally left that stupid place.

Update: This is the only moderately priced chain "eat-in" restaurant at which I have never had a bad meal in 30 years regardless of location. Consistent always. It remains consistent to this day. Excellent variety. The chicken fried steak is as good or better than Black Eyed Pea.  The steaks and ribs as good as those at a restaurant specializing in such. This is one of the best options at which to treat a date. You'll never get a bad meal. If you get bad or cold food, then someone fumbled the ball big time. Grab the manager and let them know! Then call corporate. This place has such an organized service and food prep formula, there is no excuse at all for any breakdown in quality!!

Used to go more often. Food was a four I guess. It was a nice option as a local bar and restaurant serving American style cuisine. Problem is the upholstery on the booths at all the local Chili's (three, including one not more than six months old) is so uncomfortable we just can't stand it, or sit on it, or whatever. So, we just don't go there any more. There are too many other choices to justify being uncomfortable.

The red spice powder they put on everything is like an enema, take some extra napkins with you on your way out in case you have to use the bathroom on the side of the road. Terrible service and gut wrenching food. I have been to the one in Bartlesville, OK. 3 times now and it gets worse every time. I think most of the people that work there are gay, very butch looking girls. I will never step foot there again. Bah!

I like Chili's. Good margaritas and great steaks. They have a good variety on the menu and usually the service is decent. My only complaint with our newest one is they put the restrooms at the farthest point of the resteraunt from the bar...(the people that use it the most!) and did I mention the margaritas? hic

The service at Chilis is better than the food. Nearly everything we ordered was bland and lifeless. Good: the cinnamon apples (child's plate), the chocolate shake. Steaks, chicken, fajitas (chicken bad, chili-lime shrimp OK), grilled peppers and onions, appetizers (onion blossom and cheese sticks) were very bland and boring.

Don't be hating on the SouthWestern Eggrolls just 'cause you can't make them yourself. I start with those, move on to a nice NY strip with loaded mashed taters (smashed with the skins on and smothered in cheeze and bacon bits), and finish it off with a seemingly bottomless Blue Pacific (blue curacau margurita). Apologies for my spelling, but I like the place and the food. :)
