I use the Telestial SIM card service "simple Calling" for my trips to the USA. My UK Nokia mobile works great with this card... As well as a US number you get a Global number for use in other areas... Also there is your own free WEB based travel journal and map tracking provided free. I can recommed this service and you will also get prompt delivery service andsupport after ordering T. Murray

first .. if you (and you will) have to call customer service, they person they use in their automated system sounds uneducated & almost racist. It's like they want him to sound 'hood'. second .. the phone are just simply crap! You'll find yourself taking the battery out to reboot the phone often - because it'll freeze up or just not work right. My phone NEVER allows me to speed dial on my first try -- and no, my phone is not sleeping -- it happens no matter what. VERY annoying ... & some days I'll try to use my speed dial & the screen shows the call 'connected' but it's NOT .. although the call got rec'd, the other person hears nothing from you & you don't hear them! third .. the internet is laggy! It doesn't matter where I am -- it's all the same. fourth .. EVERY month my phone gets shut off!! I have my phone on auto pay system .. & it's been 5 months & not ONE time has it ever worked -- I'm stuck calling -- which by the way it why I get annoyed at & hate boost mobile like i wro... I don't know what all the negativity is about, but then again, I'm not a tech-savvy kind of guy, and I only use my phone to..you know, TALK on. As far as that goes, Boost Mobile has been perfect for me. No dropped calls, just 50 bucks a month, pretty good coverage, etc. I would rate them a 5, but I'm giving the nay-sayers the benefit of the doubt here, as I have never even tried to use the internet and texting features, and have no need to. (I'm retired) Maybe people *have* had trouble there. Buf if all you need is a dependable phone for a great price, Boost Mobile is definitely the way to go.

Inflexible system for adding or removing options. Service turned-off by mistake when money is in account. Many calls have too much static even under ideal conditions. Had no service for over 2 days due to tower outage. Customer support is friendly, but never actually resolves the issue. 1. My elderly friend, for whom I had set up service with Boost, complained about having problems making calls for a week or so and then her phone went down for at least 48 hours due to a tower outage. I've had cell phones since 1993 and I've never had my service go out for more than a few hours. If you google "outage dallas texas sprint", you will see others who had this problem. Boost would not provide any information other then that the closest tower was out and it would be repaired "soon". 2. I was on the automatic monthly plan which charged my credit card each month. I also had deposited $60.00 in my account. When I canceled my credit card, I expected that money in my account would pay my $50.00 m... Read more

I been with Boost for about a year now. Didn't have any issues until a few weeks ago. I noticed I wasn't receiving any calls but then my Voice mail would go off. I'm thinking hey I didn't even hear it ring. So I suspect its been doing that for a while now. Now I just noticed. Then last night was IT for me! When I noticed ONLY my voice mail would go off. Text's taking forever to even go through. It took me literary 10 mins!! Before one actually went through!! Calls being dropped over & over again. No telling how long this has been really going on, and how many calls I have missed. So that alone in about a year. Didn't even bother with customer service after all the HORRIBLE REVIEWS I just read. UNBELIEVABLE! Well they truly do suck! I wish I had read the reviews 1st. Back to AT&T! Never had no problems there! And they have the same $50 Unlimited plan. Which was the only reason why I joined Boost. Good luck to every one out there!

Boost Mobile opened the door to thieves by introducing their plan. 1. The phones cannot be traced if stolen 2. If you ask them to suspend service it may take you 4 or more phone calls to get this done, no one there does what they say they will do when they say they will do it. 3. Anyone and I mean anyone can get your pin number. All they have to do is call Boost and request the lost pin be sent to the text messager. Wala account access! 4. Worse than that, the people at Boost do not bother to compare notes on your account to make sure they are talking to you. Someone even of the opposite sex could call and as long as they have your 10 digit number they can give any fake name they want and they can get the pin, and access through the Boost Mobile team. 5. Boost cannot offer you any security for your account because they do not have any in place. You never talk to the same person twice and they never really help you. 6. Their answer to account security is to note it on your account... Read more

i have the incognito. i thought it would be so cool and fancy compared to the past ones that all broke within less than a year. but this is worse than the other ones. the internet is SO slow. youtube takes forever to play videos, and it doesnt even let me pause/rewind/fastfwd. the flip hatch is already starting to squeak and when i open and close it, it's super loud. the camera is horrible quality and the the pictures are always dark. picture messaging takes forever. call quality is so bad. most of the time, i dont even recieve the calls when people call me. same with texts. the only thing thats good, is the reflective front. the end.

I have friends and family members on every network, Every provider has problems, such as Verizon, they are now cutting the unlimited data plan, and guess what, they are going to TIER Pricing in the summer of 2011, and they have no flat rate plans for Smart Phones at all, but I do agree with some of these people and say that boost is the worst for 50.00 or 75.00 a month they should get better service, better phones, and Customer Service, but again as you say you get what you pay for, Their has to be a Company out their that has consideration for the customer and give them better pricing than those that keep wanting more from us. Sorry we can not all be satisifed with our pricing plans, maybe those who want to complain, should check out page plus out of the verizon network, or just straighten up your credit and go to a contract so you don't have to do prepaid any more, or better yet just deal with it and quit complaining, yes we have people that just want to make money, but at the sam... Got boost mobile about a year ago... Crappy phone called customer service and all they did was a reset that never worked... Then they told me that the only way to fix it was to delete my account and get a new phone number... So after I went through the trouble of transferring my number I found that my phone STILL didnt work so I called customer service back only to have a representative yell at me in Spanish!!!!!! Never get boost mobile it's not worth your time!!! Had AT&T for a couple of months awesome service!! .

The man who set my phone up was really nice. I wanted the international add on so that I could call my husband who is in Afghanistan for the military. He failed to mention to me that you can't call international cell phones. So I called the customer service which took me over an hour to speak to a real person. All he said he could do was refund me the 5.00 for the international add on. I paid 140.00 TODAY for a phone and plan and everything so that I could call my husband which I cant even do. He said he could only refund me the 5.00 because the rest of the phone worked. I already have verizon. What do I need two phones for that do the same thing? Worst experience I have ever had. Now I am out 140.00. Thanks Boost!

BE AWARE THAT BOOST MOBILE DECEPTIVELY ADVERTISES THE ABILITY OF ITS PHONES TO MAKE INTERNATIONAL CALLS. BOOST MOBILE PHONES DO NOT SUPPORT CALLS TO MOST INTERNATIONAL COUNTRIES. CHECK TO ENSURE THAT THE BOOST MOBILE PHONE THAT YOU WANT TO BUY WILL ACTUALLY CALL THE COUNTRY YOU WISH TO CALL BEFORE YOU PURCHASE A SERVICE PLAN FROM BOOST MOBILE. ONCE YOU PURCHASE A SERVICE PLAN FROM BOOST MOBILE THEY WILL NOT REFUND IT FOR ANY REASON. We were sold a Boost mobile phone with an international rate plan to make calls to India. The Best Buy staff member who sold us the phone did not know that the phone does not support calls to India, which we discovered within 24 hours of buying the phone. We returned the phone to Best Buy but Boost mobile will not refund the $50 monthly unlimited service plan plus $5 monthly international calling plan that we purchased.

the connections are ok u drop calls like all phones in some areas,i drive a truck all over usa in tx i have hours of nothing, but, theres nothing there but desert.overall its same as most phones i've had in that respect. service?whats that?i dont think anyone works there or they dont have an office, ceo, headquarters? if you get used to the 74 key sequence to do a task like add some cash..they change it so you have to hit 137 different keys and stay on the phone longer to give them money.i have auto re-boost and i pop on 20$ 4 or 5 times a day or week...i gave them over $4000 this year because my chic is in the philippines. i should be able to pop in 20 or 30 bucks with my eyes closed and not think by now.no way...new menu...again..now they want to offer me preset amounts i have to wait for instead of me just punching in 20# and getting $20 on it... if..and i do mean if...you ever talk to a real person there please tell me how you got ahold of the condescending liers. is there a shortcut... I've had Boost mobile for 2 years now after my teenager drove me to the poorhouse with our Verizon service. I originally had Alltell for 10 years, and was not pleased when Verizon bought them out. By the way, I have BETTER reception with Boost than with either of them......Loved my i465, upgraded to Blackberry now and love it also. I am in Tampa, Ocala Florida region. This is definitely a good example of just because you pay more for something, doesn't mean its better!

Boost is eh, ok at best. Bought my phone on their website for $120, only to see it in Target's ad 2 weeks later for $40, FUDGE! My p.o.s. phone cannot download any ringtones from any sites other than boost's website. My phone came w/ no alert tones, and boost doesn't offer them on their website, FUDGE! cell reception is pretty good for the most part except near the military base by my house. and a couple other spots here and there but acceptable. Oh, and I am sad I wasn't able to take my # with me to boost. it was my dad's number and he passed away 2 years ago. Their customer service is definitely the worst, ever...once you finally get thru to a live badly speaking English foreigner if AT&T wasn't so damn expensive, i'd go back to them and my Blackberry. I miss them so : (

Have had boost Mobile since may of last year... back then i had the motorola I9 and i had ok reception in my area(Denver,CO)...However, the text messages were really slow and so were the multi-media messages. Then a year later i switched to the Blackberry curve 8330 for $60 a month. I have had Great service with the Blackberry and what really got my attention was how fast the texts are!! Then school started(high school) and i find out i dont get service in a few rooms and i figure hey i can deal with that its no biggie. Afterwards i find out that Blackberrys cant be left in your jeans pockets because the "buttons are sensative!!" My phone froze and i had to call boost. after doing some research online i found a website dat gave me da number to directly talk to a boost representative. i got a hold of them and after 3 apparent departments had no idea what was going on they said they would send me a new phone(under guarantee). a week later, nothing arrived as promised. i called... Worst cell reception ever. I drive from Boston to Springfield Ma every day on the Mass pike rte 90, and every 5 to 10 miles the service drops right out and your calls get disconnected. So in a 90 mile trip, I get disconnected approx 10 times in the same spots every time even through major cities. Very frustrating and I doubt it will ever get better. As soon as I can I will switch to Straight talk which is on the verizon network. Boost certainly sucks and the battery life is equally as horrible. One 15 minute conversation and half the battery life is gone. I have to keep the phone plugged in almost constantly. What the hell is the matter with this company?

Bought the Sanyo Incognito not even a week ago and have not been able to have 1 total hour of talk time or texting! I have been on the phone with their Technical Support group every day this week and have yet to get any resolution! This phone sucks! I actually transferred from Cricket to sign up with Boost with a promise that they use all the Sprint towers and the coverage was handsdown the best in prepaid unlimited...boy was I lied to!! And by the way, I had those numerous conversations with technical support from my 11 yr. old daughters Cricket phone simply because I could not get any service at all in my home!! Imagine that, Cricket is better than Boost!! I have went through at least 4 troubleshooting experiences, 5 1/2 hours of technical support conversations, and the promise they would open a ticket up for an engineer to come in the area to see if they could find the issue, well guess what, that is yet to happen!! I ordered a new Boost Mobile phone via their website, and it came with free 3-day shipping. A week passed and I had still not received my phone. I checked my order confirmation email and it contained no tracking information. So, I emailed Boost's customer service to find out my order status. They informed me they they do not ship their phones, that's done by a third-party company called Brightpoint and I had to contact them to find out the status of my order. They gave me their phone number and I called their customer service. Brightpoint told me the phone was out of stock and back ordered, none of this information was listed on Boost's website nor did I get any kind of notification that my order was being delayed. They told me that they were waiting for more units from the manufacturer and that they had no clue when they'd get more in. They suggested I call back the following week. A couple weeks passed and I still hadn't gotten my phone. Finally I called Brightpoint aga... Read more

I hadn't had service in about 3 months. The phone was bought a little over 6 months ago. I paid the $50 monthly fee and a $10 service charge this morning. The phone was working fine before I reactivated. I was told to turn off the phone and turn it back on. As I tried to turn it back on nothing happened. So I plugged it into the charger. It wont recognize the charger now. So I call Boost back and after going through 3 different departments I was told the only thing they could do was have me ship it to them to fix it. Not only that but the 'manager' of the customer service department acted like it was my fault it was broke and assumed i had it laying around on my floor or something. They would not give me a refund or in anyway seem like they cared. So I spent $63.57 for them to break my phone, maybe if i bend over they can fuck me in the ass! Fuck Boost Mobile and there SHITTY SERVICE!

Boost Mobile is a terrible service. I'm a college student, and my mother put the phone bill on me almost a year ago. Boost mobile was $30 cheaper than the other services... Have you ever heard the term, "You get what you pay for,"? Well, with Boost, you get what you pay for. I can't believe their advertisements didn't send me in the wrong direction in the first place. No one I know has Boost, so I can't "walkie-talkie" anyone. And, just as everyone else says, the service is terrible. I would tell my friends, "Sorry, my phone just loses service whenever it feels like it." The phone is AWFUL. You can't send or receive messages while talking on the phone. Besides that, the phone is slow and sometimes it gets confused when receiving messages... It just sucks. I paid $140 fora phone ALONG with the phone service, and it was just crap. As a college student, and someone who texts and makes phone calls often, I am very unimpressed. Fix your junk, Boost Mobile.

It worked ok on incoming calls - phoned customer service - fella did his best to get phone to work - but seems he was not familiar with the newer model i had - could not solve issue- after well over one hour I returned camera to store - but lost my $50 card fee should have purchased the 19 dollar card-- design of camera was good - that was about all.

I live in MD and so far the customer service is just horrible! A lot of dropped phone calls, can't have a decent, reliable conversation inside the apt. 'cause the connection breaks up, it's just a nightmare! I use to have Metro PCS in FL, and it was just awesome! unfortunately they don't have coverage here yet. I do not recommend Boost and will definitely switch to another cell phone service provider.

The service was fine in terms of it's technical capability but... The phones SUCK. They were falling apart on my wife (who is a dainty little thing and not nearly as hostile with her stuff as I am with my iPhone - and before you get mad, she has an iPhone now so chill). The Credit Card constantly "accidentally" double charges!!! And they won't refund you - they just apply it to your next bill - but then they automatically bill you so they are always hanging out with about 100 bucks of your money that they won't give back until you "use it". It is like they forced you to pay a first and last months deposit on your fricking phone bill. Customer service.. hahahahahah. The customer service is a joke. Their website won't allow you to make any meaningful changes, their phone system is an endless loop with no clear directions on how to get a real human being and when you finally figure out you are in an endless loop and just start mashing the "0" and star buttons you are chewing on your te... Wow I can't believe all the negative things I am seeing about boost. A few years back, I had a contract with Nextel and had the most horrible service of any of the providers. Constant dropped calls and customer service just didn't care. As soon as my contract was up, I moved on to Verizon. They were reliable and I really didn't have any problems with them at all, except for how expensive my bill was every month. I felt like I was getting raped by Verizon every month for 2 years for a mediocre phone. I then started shopping for pre-paid phones, and at that time it was very unfortunate that Boost had the cheapest plan $50/month unlimited everything. At this time, I didn't understand why I was going back to Boost/Nextel. I bought the i465 and signed up for the monthly unlimited plan. I have never been happier with any other cell provider like I am with boost. I absolutely love the service. Yes, sometimes the text and internet are a little sketchy, but I never get dropped calls, I always h... Read more

TOP 3 REASONS WHY I HATE BOOST MOBILE: 1) YOU MUST WEAR YOUR PHONE For some ungodly reason, the new Boost phones only get 3 rings before it goes to voicemail AND YOU CANNOT CHANGE IT. Since you don't have enough time to get to the phone, you can never set it down. Hell, I can hardly get the phone out of my pocket before it goes to voicemail. Maybe they cannot afford to let it ring 5 or 6 times??? 2) THOU MUST CHARGE. As far as talk time goes, Boost Mobile phones have the Wost Battery Life EVER. (Thanks Motorola). I have had the i290, i356 and currently the i465. They all need daily charging. Now here's where the problems start- how can you charge your phone when you're supposed to be wearing it??? The simple answer is: YOU CAN'T, so you find yourself running across the room, knocking things and people over to answer your phone on the 3rd ring. Next. 3) THEY WON'T...THEY CAN'T GO AWAY! Those annoying calls from "Private" and "Anonymous" people (stalkers) are here to stay. That's rig... Read more

Decided to try Boost Mobile a week ago. I looked up my address in their coverage map and it said "Best Service". Put down my $50 for a month of unlimited everything. I have not had 1 single successful phone call. Approx 10% of calls = "network busy". Approx 20% of the calls were dropped in the first few seconds. For the rest, I could only hear every second or third word. Don't even think about this company...$50 is NOT a bargain if the service doesn't work at all. I asked for a refund and have gotten the expected runaround. Outside of that I'd say the customer support folks do try to be helpful and are courteous...and pick up the phone reasonably quickly.

Ok, my issue with boost is not their customer service or phone reception. It's the text and internet. which is the whole reason I got the phone. It takes forever to send and recieve texts. I get an error message everytime some one texts me while and I have an outgong message. It says downloading forever when I have one incoming and a lot of the time I just plain don't get them. The interent is a joke. half the time it says the service is restricted to premium users even though I was at the site 2 min before. I try scrolling down and nothing will happen til literally, not an exageration, 2 minutes will go by and then it will scroll down. Right now i can't even use the facebook site at all. It works just fine on ther phones so I know it's this one. GRRRR. Oh and sometimes my phone won't ring untill the person leaves a voice mail 3 words- Piece of crap!!!

I have had Boost for exactly 3 weeks and I can't stand it! I looked up online before deciding, to check the coverage area and my area was good. I have hardly any signal at all in my house or yard! When I do get my messages, it's 2 days later (no exaggeration) in areas with a great signal. I set the Java Ap alarm clock and it shuts the phone down frequently in the middle of the night and I'm late for work! Customer service guided me through the master reset many times to no avail. They also tell me they can't refund the money for the 3 week old phone but they say the problem could be with the phone and could send me a replacement. I will not pay another 50.00 for another month of problems.

Boost Mobile is a bunch of non-english speaking pricks. DO NOT put any money on your account and expect to get it back if you cancel your service. I sent an e-mail the day before my next bill was due to cancel my service and get the balance of $ 75.00 sent back to me. I even asked them on the e-mail to call me to confirm they received my e-mail (using their web site contact information) but no one called. EVEN though THEIR web site states they will contact you back within 12 hours. This is bullshit. When I spoke to their account rep and a supposed supervisor, I was told "you had money on your account and you will not get it back". This is typical of these bastards. I will tell everyone I know not to get Boost Mobile. DO NOT EXPECT ANY SERVICE AT ALL FROM THESE IDIOTS.

Lies! I am a conscientous consumer and checked all month-to-month plans and chose boost because of its coverage area and price. I was disappointed when I had a lot of 'No Service' areas when my Verizon carrying friends had 4 bars. Inconvenient! I got notices that I needed to re-boost, and could do so from my phone. But first you have to 'Add funds to your account' and then re-boost. If you get confused, which is easy to do, you could find yourself adding funds a 2nd time creating a Credit Balance. Robbery! I was informed by customer service that I would not be refunded any credit balance because this is a pre-paid service. Yes. I understand that. But if I'm not using their service, you should expect to have any credit balance refunded. I'm sure it's in very smally print somewhere on page 127 of the Customer Agreement. But it is an unconscionable policy. I do not recommend boost mobile for any reason.

okay so i have had boost for less than a year now and since i have switched to there company because of the unlimited plan that is extremly cheap, i have had nothing but problems. first off, i understand that you may be looking for somthing a little more in your budget area because yes phone service is expensive, however if you pay cheap you get cheap. I have purchased 2 boost phones in less than 1 year and both of which have completly stoped working. okay so first this is what happend i got my first boost phone which worked great for about 2 months, and then all of a sudden, i wasnt hardly getting reception, then people would send me text messages that i wouldnt get til 5 days later, than people would call me but my phone would not ring unless they left a voicemail. so i decided to get a new phone because i figured that i had done somthing to it myself. so i got the new phone and again the same thing happend. and no i have never droped my phone or anything. to top all that off when i ... I think the boost mobile plans and pricing are the best, but I have to say with cheep plans comes cheep electronics. I purchased the most expensive phone boost offered and It was the biggest peice of junk I've ever owned, first the mics. quit and I had to resort to bluetooth to even use the darn thing then my camera totally quit on me when I pushed my camera button my phone would log on to the internet then my camera totally disappeared and I couldn't find it in my menu settings or my media center then one day the screen went white and the darn thing quit working all together. It's almost like motorolla (pardon my french) "half assed it" when they filled the orders for boost phones and they were put together by children instead of technicians. Everyone I've talked to say's the same thing about there phones. I think boost should force motorolla to replace the phones that were junk and award boost customers who were tricked into purchasing the more expensive phones and then forced to... Read more

I read all of the reviews here and did a lot of research. (a lot, of course, is a relative term) Yes, I don't doubt people have had their problems. But, search around and do your 'reviews' research and you'll find horror stories from every single carrier out there. I decided to still try Boost. (the price was definitely right) I walked into Radio Shack, picked out my phone and checked out. The employee called customer support and had a live voice withing 2 minutes. Tops! In order to get my phone number transferred, I needed to have my previous account number. (which I didn't) I got my account number and the employee called back. Again, a live voice answered in under 2 minutes. Everything went perfectly and I was told my number would be transferred within 24 hours.. However, by the time I returned to work (roughly, 10 blocks) my phone number was already active. I purchased my minutes and I was up and running.. The service in my area has been perfect. I had to call support once and t... Read more

I use boost mobile since over four years. Over this time I had different experiences: I started with an iden walkie talkie pay phone as i arrived in the united states in 2005. I had bad problems with their network. dropped calls, no connections in certain areas. i lost connection even in irvine (boost mobiles headquarter is located in irvine). i had that phone a while and switched to speakout (7eleven) wireless for a few month. i switched back to boost as they started their unlimited web + talk + text plan with the w385. the w385 was very expensive, but very reliable on their cdma network. i had opera and google maps installed, but the small screen and the numeric pad was a pain in the butt. My unlimited plan started with 70/month and was automaticly lowered over the time to 50/month, great! Even though the plan was great, i was thinking about to change to another provider to get a better handset. - but then, boost came with the blackberry. i bought this year their blackberry 8330 ... WELL I AM NOT THE TYPE TO POST COMMENTS ON ANYTHING , HOWEVER I LOVE THE HEX OUT OF BOOST MOBILE. LET ME JUST LAY DOWN THE FACTS: 1) UNLIMITED USA CALLING. 2)UNLIMITED WALKIE TALKIE (IF YOUR PHONE HAS THE FEATURE) 3)UNLIMITED WEB USAGE 4)UNLIMITED TEXTING. NOW TELL ME WHAT OTHER COMPANY CAN BEAT THAT AT $50.00 A MONTH AND NOT A PENNY MORE! LET ME ALSO ADD DID YOU KNOW THAT NEXTEL OWNS BOOST MOBILE AND DID YOU ALSO KNOW THAT SPRINT AND NEXTEL COMPANIES ARE MERGED SO YOU WILL ALWAYS GET A GOOD SIGNAL. THINK ABOUT IT WHY PAY MORE? SPEND YOUR MONEY ON SOMETHING MORE WORTH WILD LIKE YOURSELF YOU DESERVE IT!

Boost FUCKIN rocks! I don't know why so many people are complaining about being over charged! thats impossiable! they only charge what you use! And, when they say its 50 bucks a month, they mean it! the service is awesome, and though the phones aren't that pretty, they work way better than any othe plan i've had! I used to have Sprint and was on the $100 plan and was being charged $140! wtf is that? i just got the new I9, its so cool! its touch screen, mp3 player, it has youtube and everything! 300 bucks for the phone, and i get so many complimants on how nice it is! i love it! well, i just found out that their coming out with a new phone "the clutch i465" it looks sick, just like a blackberry, and the i9 in red! GO BOOST GO! i really recomend it! :)

I just purchased the new Motorola i465 through Boost Mobile and I LOVE IT! The service is outstanding, the texting and Internet is fast in spite of some of the reviews I've read on previous sites. The i465 did not get the best reviews based on looks, however, I have to say it's an awesome little phone! It's not a bad looking phone and the keypad on the front works perfectly! The reception on the i465 is much clearer than my Razor or any phone I have in my home! It's very user-friendly and just a sharp phone overall!! Out of all the cell phones I've ever used, this one is by far THE BEST as well as THE BEST service! I haven't had any problems with texting, chirping or Internet service. I have been with AT&T for 10 years and I will not be returning!
