Of course. When the last two people left on earth die we will have perfect peace. But I guess it will not get to that. Jesus Christ will establish a government system that will make war obsolete and true peace will reign on Earth for a thousand years. Update: When religious people finally die. . . Is this hate speech or what?

Yes it is possible if the nations of the world can police themselves and agree to let their fellow man exist.

No. It would be unprecedented in recorded history. Envy, anger, and competition are too fundamental to the human condition for it to exist.

I'm always an optimistic person. I believe that it can be possible. First we need a world government and then we need pacifists from each country to run its nation.

With my personal beliefs in the Bible set aside for a moment, I still have to say it never will happen. As long as there are people who have selfish desires, peace will not exist in the world. Now back to the Bible, it says in the last days there will wars and rumors of wars. Whether you believe these are the last days or not just look at the state of the world today, I don't see things improving. If you don't believe in God or his written Word, even without a single battle being fought on our planet the war against crime will continue. As long as there is crime, peace will not prevail.

no. my reasoning. to acheive world peace someone or some group or nation would have to allow themselves to become subjugated under another man's laws. i cannot imagine Middle Eastern Countries and nations like the US giving any remove from their own set ideals to allow for such a peace.

There is going to be world peace but not until the MESSIAH (CHRIST) returns.

It will only be possible when you can guarantee happiness to every person in the world.

True world peace can only come about by having individual freedoms restored for ALL peoples, combined with a lazzez-faire Capitalist free trade system.

Obviously not on this planet. Not as long as somebody sees something somebody else has that they think they deserve more.

I seriously doubt it. There will always be power-hungry communists and violent terrorists. World peace would take a global discipline and respect that the human race just doesn't seem to be fully capable of.

Of course. Its not only possible, it is our true destiny! First, we have to get rid of all of those punk governments (kicking Iraq's fanny was a great start!) and bring democracy to the world. If France wants to be a stubborn brick, fine, just let them be static (Of course, the hero nations get all of the French perfumes and stuff. :)) I predict in 20 or 30 years, this will happen, if not sooner! And, who else but great nations like the US, UK and Japan to bring peace to the world as we prepare to expand into space...

Oh, I really would love true world peace! I would! But it can never be achieved. No matter what, there are people in this world who want to kill others regardless of the importance of human life.

Yes, but it would take something bigger than man to force it. For example, discovery of a planet with life, impending extinction of the human race or Earth, a truly religious event, etc.

I hate to sound like an overzealous religious fanatic, but I really and honestly do not feel this world will ever find peace until Satan is done ruling it. No man made government will ever be able to make the world peaceful in my opinion without the help of Jesus Christ. And only after Jesus comes back will there be true peace on this planet. And George Bush is not Jesus...

Yeah, sure, world peace could exist . . . if no one lived here.

Hasn't existed yet. Won't exist anytime soon.
