AAA sucks big time ... my wife locked the car keys inside. I called them up and they said the member is supposed to be there. I said I cannot be there as I am at work and I have the keys with me so if I could be there I would not need them. They said it is fine as the car is in your name she just needs to show the registration copy and her id. The dispatcher shows up and says he that the rep did not put any notes and hence he cannot unlock the car. He leaves. I call them again. Talk to supervisor and he says you will have to buy one more membership before we unlock the keys ... they finally made me buy 2 memberships for two people who live in my household ..that is me and my wife and I had to be on a call with them for 45 minutes. My wife was standing int hat parking lot for more than 2 hours ... that is a total rip off and AAA SUCKS!!!!

I used AAA insurance for a number of years, but decided to change to another company for a better deal (included my home insurance). I was still going to keep my AAA membership since it offers numerous benefits. Well, I has taken me 3 months to cancel my policy, and it still isn't canceled. I have paid 3 months worth of auto insurance to AAA since it is charged directly to my credit card. I have spoken to the office multiple times and faxed numberous documents to AAA and every time I call to follow up, it is as if I have never spoken to them before!!! I don't want to keep paying for insurance I'm not using!!!!

Another Cancellation policy complaint. In August 2010 my father, an AAA member since 2003 passed away. Today I called to cancel his membership and was informed that they would not refund the unused portion of a membership unless the cancellation occurred with in 30 days of renewal. I find that your policy of not giving refunds for the unused portion of a membership in the case of death unfair and frankly distasteful. Really - It's not like he changed his mind, he died. I have canceled several magazine subscriptions and insurance policies and received refunds - but not from AAA. I was told I could transfer the remainder of his membership to another person as long as they weren't currently a AAA member, but that I couldn't apply the unused portion to extend my own AAA membership. I think that AAA should review it's policy - it's shady.

I've been a loyal member of AAA for ten years since college - (just in case the car broke down on those long road trips) . . .it's a terrific thing, really. . . . . .but this listing is for 'web sites' and AAA is really a terrible on-line experience. Clunky, slow, difficult to navigate. AAA the company, service, and actual physical location? Four to five. The website, however, has always been a frustrating experience for me. Still, count me in as a loyal customer. . .

Do not try to cancel your membership & expect to get any sort of a refund. Triple A changed the rules this past year but never informed any of their loyal customers. After being with triple A for a long time, I realized I had the same coverage on my new car, plus with my insurance co. so I decided to cancel my policy. I had just renewed for the year & I was told no money would be refunded. If I ever have a need for this type of service again, I will definitely not go with triple A

AAA was So Helpful in getting me travel reservations to Palm Springs for Spring Break and Helping me book a hotel at the Quality Inn. I even got a AAA discount on my room! For a college student on a budget, I'm grateful to have AAA.

We have had AAA for 26 years and used it once. The second time we tried to use it was for a car that would not start at our residence. They sent out a tow truck in Zanesville Ohio and the tow truck operator told us that AAA was for roadside assistance only, but he would tow the vehicle for $50. I tried to contact AAA but there is no contact info on their website. I'm a believer that tow truck operators are shady and that AAA has no control over this.

I have found that AAA is way more expensive than the other travel sites. Even as a member you can get much better deals elsewhere!

Thank god I have AAA. One time, when I was in Detroit for a Tigers game, when we parked, it was one where you have to give the lot owner the keys, while we were inside, he claimed that we wanted him to lock our keys in the car, under the passenger side rug(idiot). We called AAA, they were there in less than 20 minutes. They are quick with their information, which is great too.

A great website. Everything was clear and precise. I filled out a quota for car insurance, and received a phone call the next day.

AAA is way to expensive for a student's budget. So for a student to travel in AAA they need a lot more money then is available to them.
