In my opinion mister Cruise's acting is not very believable in any of his movies. In every movie I've seen, with him as the lead, I've discovered other actors that could've played the part better. People also respect actors more when they are polite to the public. I have never read a source describing Tom Cruise as anything other than rude. Once again, only my opinion.

I think he is a great actor, looks in the other hand questionable.. I love all his movies my all time favorite was Interview with the vampire with Antonio Vandera, Brad Pitt. I meet his wife katie holmes once in Willington North Carolina.. Very nice girl, Shy and Timid.. Never thought she would end up with Tom...

I've enjoyed a few of his movies. Risky business is still his best one. He needs to just come out of the closet.

Is Tom Cruise still top box office draw? I, personally, think he's somewhere in between. What I mean by that is Tom Cruise movies based so much on his looks, more than the intensity in the characters like Johnny Depp brings in his movies. Both are wonderful in their unique ways. But if I had to choose who I prefer than its Johnny Depp. BEST WAYS TO ENJOY MOVIES?!!! TOSS YOUR SHOES, HATS, SKIRTS, BOOMERANG IF YOU LIKE!!!! http://wat-up-people.blogspot.com/ KURT'S MOVIE: KEEPING IT REAL777

Tom is a great actor no doubt, he managed to stun the world with his movies specially mission impossible series, however i think Tom is all about energy and power and both are not helpful in old age, i think Tom shoul select carefully how to advance in Hollywood specially when he gets older.

Tom Cruise is involved in a wacky religion, but when you really think about it, what religion isn't a little on the wacky side of things. We've got virgins giving birth to a baby who is also a god but also a man, some long haired dude parting a whole sea, a talking snake, and a whole lot of other things that taken out of context, seem like something out of Alice and Wonderland. That being said, Tom Cruise has as much right to voice his nutty religion as you have when you come to my house waking me up at 8 in the morning to voice your nutty religion to me. Tom Cruise is still a fine actor with pretty entertaining tastes in roles and frankly, he isn't bad to look at. I say "Let them talk" and don't judge his career on which god he chooses to worship when he gets home. That's just as crazy as judging someone based on which gender they choose to lay with behind closed doors.

I loved "Risky Business." What's that? L. Ron Hubbard? Better living through science? No? Hmmm? Let's have Matt Lauer ask him about Brooke Shields. That's better. Something needed to make Matt smart. "Top Gun" appealed. "Eyes Wide Shut" repulsed. Huh? Speaking parts are not "speaking"? Okay, Letterman needs a boost. Looky there, Tom remains steadfast. Admire conviction. Particularly when it makes an icon any old "Tom, Dick, or Harry." Let him talk. Learn what not to do when your 15 minutes of fame approaches "minute 14."

Early in his career he would balance his resume by doing The Colour of Money after Top Gun or Rain Man after Cocktail and would keep his industry credibility up and acting chops sharp. But he seems to be more focused on Epics and Blockbusters these days. He's a box office machine, but I doubt they'll be talking about Mission Impossible: III when they do his eulogy. UPDATE: The preceeding was from 3+ years ago, before all of the wacky behavior, but I think I'd stick with that assessment of him as an actor, although his box office power has dwindled considerably. The one thing that should be added to the review though is this - he was freaking awesome in Tropic Thunder.

This is a really tough call. Most of the people who are crazy about him are for the wrong reasons, but because of his psychotic nature, many others decided to dislike him regardless if he's got any talent in acting or not. Me for instance refused to see any of his movies for the longest time until people started realizing what a psycho he's become, then I started watching his movies again out of sympathy. To be fair I think he's not a bad actor at all. He does suffer from a typical pretty boy syndrome in which many people think he only got famous because of his attraction to teenage girls. He also got many parts being the rich, pretty boy in the movies and that limited him to show his potential in a wider range. He didn't do too badly as the rich pretty boy, but his best roles are all the ones showing him without a real face of Tom Cruise. I like his performance in Vanilla Sky where his face was destroyed for half of the movie, and recently his very brief part in Tropic Thunder is also... Read more

He's the least bit entertaining. If anything, Tom Cruise is now just plain ANNOYING!!! But no one ought to ban this idiot from spouting off and losing his sanity in public. He has every right to these things.

Tom, I know your...ah, religion...is against the taking of medication, but maybe they can make an exception in your case? Maybe you can get a Ouija board, call up ol' L. Ron Hubbard, and get some sort of special dispensation? Worth a try, no?

Check this out. There was a poll asked to US citizens regarding who you would least-like to spend the rest of eternity with on a deserted island. Tom Cruise was number 1...on a list where Osama Bin Laden was number 3! They'd rather hang out with some dude who blew up the twin towers, and some other dude in the middle, than Tom Cruise. I've got no feelings against the guy either way, but I know he's graced himself in the limelight with some sort of ludicrous opinions regarding Scientology, which has drawn skepticism from most critics.
